Media Foundation

Policy and Advocacy

Advocacy and policy activities focus on reform issues related to media education, public interest media, community media, and media rights of citizens, especially the differently abled and marginalized. They also relate to media quality and accountability in a free press system, across platforms, including print, electronic, and internet/new media. Media Foundation’s efforts in advocacy are informed by research, policy review, and public input, and driven by the needs of the affected constituencies.

On a broader scale, activities in this area consist of linking media roles with pertinent public policy issues and problems, which may include education, health, environment, employment, and other basic needs and rights of citizens.
